L\u2019enqu\u00eate men\u00e9e aupr\u00e8s de 113 000 personnes r\u00e9v\u00e8le que La Rochelle se positionne \u00e0 la troisi\u00e8me place.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Rochelle poursuit sa politique d\u2019urbanisation et en particulier le d\u00e9veloppement de la mobilit\u00e9 douce. L\u2019accroissement des voies r\u00e9serv\u00e9es aux v\u00e9los au d\u00e9triment des voitures divise pourtant les rochelais. Une partie y voit une am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 de vie quand d\u2019autres d\u00e9noncent une circulation plus compliqu\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans la majorit\u00e9 des villes de France, notamment du grand ouest, la volont\u00e9 politique est forte en mati\u00e8re de mobilit\u00e9 douce. Dans le cadre de La Rochelle, l\u2019objectif est de doubler l\u2019usage du v\u00e9lo sur l\u2019agglom\u00e9ration. Le bon classement dans le barom\u00e8tre passe par des financements qui sont vot\u00e9s annuellement. Sophie Barthes, en charge des am\u00e9nagements cyclables \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 d\u2019agglom\u00e9ration de La Rochelle, d\u00e9crit ce barom\u00e8tre&nbsp; comme avant tout \u00ab un outil d\u2019\u00e9valuation \u00bb. Il donne de la visibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 la commune et vient r\u00e9compenser les efforts faits par la ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malgr\u00e9 de bons r\u00e9sultats, La Rochelle est une ville vieillissante. Un tiers de sa population \u00e0 plus de 60 ans. Dans le centre-ville, les am\u00e9nagements sont compliqu\u00e9s et suscitent des pol\u00e9miques.
